Despite seeing less action in the first round, Free State Stars utility left footed player Diego Brown is longing for some action and cannot wait for the PSL second round to resume.
The talented Brown who joined Stars at the beginning of the season from the newly promoted National First Division side Chippa United FC has found it tough since joining the club.
He is competing with the likes of new Bafana Bafana recruit Ayanda Gcaba, Mzikayise Mashaba and Thabo Matlaba who has since joined Orlando Pirates.
Brown told the club website he is facing stiff competition to crack into the first eleven but cited that with the departure of Matlaba it will definitely increase the chances of starting games.

“Thibos (Matlaba ) was one of the guys I looked up to on my arrival. The guy's work ethic is out of this world and I wish him the very best of luck in his move to Pirates”, explained Brown.
Brown further stated that the departure of Matlaba is a great loss for the team but like Coach Steve will always say "when one son dies the other one is born".
“As far as my performance is concerned I am working hard along with the guys whom I compete with, hence the coaches always encourage me to give my best in whatever I do,” said the midfielder.
The Cape Town born player is optimistic that the team will finish in a respectable position after a good start to the current season
